PLYM Valley Lions are holding a Spring Open Golf Competition at Staddon Heights Golf Club on Friday May 11, 2012.
The event features 18 holes of golf in a four-ball better ball competition and is followed by a meal at a total cost of £120 for a team of four players.
Sponsorship for individual holes is available at £50 with a package of £150 to sponsor a hole and enter a team of four players.
Profits from the event will be shared between St Luke’s Hospice, Macmillan Nurses and other local Lions charities.
THE Plymouth and Plym Valley Lions Clubs hold their annual Dartmoor Charity Marathon Walk on Sunday, July 15.
The 10-mile walk will take place in the area surrounding Princetown and the principal charities for this year’s event are The Samaritans and Blind Veterans UK, formerly St Dunstan’s, the national charity for blind ex-Service men and women.
Teams are invited to participate and there will be an opportunity for teams to nominate their own favourite charities to receive funds.
